On the evening of February 27th, I attempted to purchase (2). 10 Champagne Diamonds from Gem Shopping Network. I have made purchases from them in the past and am a registered customer. I used my Visa to pay for my purchase, as I have done in the past. Their agent advised me that although he had all my information in front of him, the purchase was declined. He advised that the address of my card did not match my home address and the purchase was therefore declined.

This morning, I contacted my bank, and was advised that Gem Shopping did in fact take $167.38 from my account. How do you explain this?

Up until this time, I thought I was dealing with a reputable company. If after my call, Gem Shopping determined a mistake had been made and put the purchase through, why did I not get a courtesy call advising me that Gem Shopping had in fact debited my account and was sending the merchandise?

I called the Customer service number and was put on hold for 15 minutes, at which point I hung up and e-mailed them. I asked for a response by close of business on 2-28-11. I got no response. I checked with my bank this morning and was advised that no credit had been issued.

Consumers Beware! When you hear Honesty and Integrity in Gem Shopping Network's opening blurb, consider my situation.
