I bought a 2002 Mountaineer, fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. I wanted a SAFE comfortable car for my three kids and self. I have had so many problems with it and have read reviews that MANY, MANY, MANY others have has similar issues. I'm probably going to have to do something about the transmission and SOOO can't afford it. I'm a single mom and HATE bringing that up because I adore my kids (which is why I really thought my Moutnaineer would be perfect) and I don't want parenting alone to be an excuse for anything. But so many others are having transimission issues with this vehicle too. Why won't Ford do a recall and correct their ERROR. I love Ford, my first, third, and fourth automobiles have been Ford. But this one is causing me a lot of misery and a very very bad time. PLEASE Ford be the honest, reliable dealership that you need to be and correct your mistakes.
