I retained ARLG - American Residential Law Group in February of it was $1500 and everything sounded and seemed on the up and up. I had a good contact person Nicole Kasper and things were submitted etc.- Then came the first staff change - New person - Dayna Mascalino - also very nice and professional - from the looks of everything my case was being worked out and moving forward toward a permanent modification. When ARLG would ask me for items, I would submit them same day - then I would also get a letter from Chase confirming that they needed the same information - thus I felt secure that things were legit. Then came the 3rd staff change - this is when I began to wonder what was going on - This new person, Diane Melton was not nearly as professional as the other two - by this time, I had been tied up with all of this for 10 months - I was terrified and very uncertain however Chase was not contacting me for anything leaving me to believe that there was some work out in progress - Right around Christmas I received an email from Diane Melton that my file was in underwriting and Chase had everything they needed to make a decision.
In January, I contacted Diane Melton as to what was taking so long - she then emailed me that it was still in underwriting and they did not need anything else from me - a week later I got the letter from ARLG that they could no longer service my account - they referred me to William O'Toole Esquire with a phone number as the contact information. What are we left to do??? I am calling this company today, but am not expecting anything much from it - this is sad and illegal I'm sure.
