Non delivery of household shipment

In July I contracted Pricebreak shipping to send my household goods from Boston Ma., USA, to Valencia, Spain.
Initially everything seemed to be professional and well organized, that is until my first pick up date.
After missing several appointments to pick up my goods, causing me to lose 2 tickets for non refundable air travel,
and paying an extra month of rent, I finally had a truck show up at my apartment. The truck had a driver, and no-one else,
but I had paid for door to door service. So that I would not miss another flight, I called all of my friends and we got
the truck loaded. While in transit there were several fees to be paid that were not outlined in the contract, but I paid
them as I had no choice, they had all my things! In November I was informed by a company called EuroUSA that my goods had
arrived in Europe and that they were scheduled for delivery that month. A week later I was told by EuroUSA that my goods
were on hold indefinitely by Pricebreak shipping. After weeks of literally begging for my own belongings I finally received
most of it. The entire time I was made to feel as though I were doing something wrong, and all I did was try to get my
belongings to Spain. The following e-mail messages are the actual e-mails from both companies and myself during this
last part of my experience. This rude and immature behavior is the act of 2 companies that used me in a pissing war with
each other, and have STILL to live up to their own promises. Anyone reading this needs to know that everything is completely
true, I am not a competitor, or an ex-employee trying to ruin thier good name. The following e-mails begin from the first
communication I had stating that my goods were placed on hold due to non-payment of my account, which was only the beginning
of the lies. If anyone would like any more info about my dealing please e-mail me at [email protected], and please, for
your own good, find another company to ship your household!

You put a hold on my stuff getting here the day before Thanksgiving, I am a
chef and that container is my livelihood, I hope you enjoyed your time with
your loved ones because you ruined mine. The only thing I have left to say
to you is that you better have a really good reason, and if not I am going
to the police, because what you are doing is illegal. I have jumped
through every hoop you put in front of me and said thank you for it. You
obviously have no respect for anyone else and I am going to make sure that
as many people as I can reach hear about my experience with you. My only
hope now is that I can ruin your business before you take advantage of
anyone else.

No one put our items on hold, your goods are scheduled for a delivery now,
if the agent in UK put your goods on hold then contact them, prior to
releasing your anger you should check both sides of the story and confirm
the information first. PriceBreak Shipping did not ruin anything for you.
Reading your email about the police is a really unbelievale.
Some agent tells you that the freight was put on hold and you release all
your anger on us,

Contac Euro USA and demand delivery or you will call the police on them. We
can provide proof that we have paid all agents in full and never put your
goods on hold

I have just talked to them and they are still saying that you have my items
on hold, probably because I owe you money. I dont know who is telling me
the truth here but they just told me that they have an e-mail from you
stating that they are not to release my property, without stating a reason.
I dont know why I have to go through all this just to receive my
belongings, dont you pay these people? If so then they basicaly work for
you. When I talk to them now they say my contract is with you, not them, so
they cant help me, and that I should contact you to resolve this. I am
sorry to vent on you but someone has to have an answer for me. I will try
this one more time, PLEASE get me my stuff.

First of all I would like to apologies for this inconvenience, indeed any
internal vendor issues should not spill over to any customers lap and for
that we are truly sorry.
I have the office manager at EURO USA UK office, like this we are all on
the same page:
Rachel, this freight was never on hold, your USA office was paid in full
for the full service and we an still confused why until today after such a
long time this freight has not been delivered to the customer. Can you
please explain?
As for an open past due invoice, we are clearly aware of it, and we
understand it is substantially over due, though one invoice from hundreds
of shipments with ontime payment. We would be flabergasted if this would be
your reasoning to hold any freight especially an inoccent customers
freight. This invoice will be satisfied at our earliest convenience.
Mr. Wilson advised you have an email stating we requested Mr. Wilson's
freight to be put on hold. Do you mind providing such proof, because we
have not put this freight on hold, customer has paid us in full, and we
have paid Euro USA, in full so their would be no reason to keep poor Mr.
Wilson's freight on hold for any reason, In fact, we are now WILLING TO PAY
double the cost just so you can expedite his delivery immediatley.

Mr. Wilson,
We will do everything we can to get your freight to you as soon as
possible, even pay the agent DOUBLE its fees and prove to you that we would
not hold your freight, and that our customer service, customer care is TOP
PRIORITY.

I look forward to responses from both.

Mr Wilson is quite aware that the freight is on hold pending payment of
your account to the UK office.
It is the UK that has the shipment on hold.
Yes, in the first instance Euro USA tried every effort not to specify the
full extent
or nature behind the hold however with the problem still not being resolved
and under questioning
from the client we have since been forced to elaborate further detail being
payment issues. We had no option
- previously the "hold" advice issue was I admit vague and this was fully
intentional. Mr Wilson was informed it was on hold by the USA and a request
made for the client to contact you.
Unfortunately despite being forewarned of the requirement for payment of
the sums owed
we are no further forward today and Mr Wilson's shipment has regretfully
been effected - this we did forewarn. It really has not been Euro's
ultimate intention to delay the shipment and have given ample opportunity
to have this settled prior to now, as you are aware this account is over a
year old and we merely require a remittance. As such you have herewith
stated that payment will be made and this will be rectified, now of course
we only need to be paid for what we are owed nothing more or less. This is
all that is being asked.
Please would as you confirm swiftly arrange the required payment for early
next week as I appreciate it is a holiday today and the matter will be
fully resolved for all concerned.

Thank you for your time and attention. Mr Wilson we will be in touch as
soon as we have
news of the delivery and I do sincerely apologise for the delay and that
you have been involved
to such issue, assuredly every effort is being made to bring this matter to

Rich, this invoice is over a year old, you are aware of the invoice o/s and
have been for sometime.
You promise payment and yet it is never forth coming. If account was paid
in a timely manner I would not have to resort to this. As I said before,
pay the bill and all freight will
be released. We are not talking huge sums and taking over a year to pay is
not just not acceptable.

Rich you did not confirm anything regarding payment of the bill to me just
that there was a "supposed " problem previously and you continue to give me
the run around about payment - it is quite simple pay your account and this
will be delivered, I will not say anything further on the matter except you
had emails requesting payment in March, August, September, October and
November yet still no payment.
What else can we do but hold freight in order to get payment from you?

It is not Mark holding the freight, it is our UK office as your account is
in such serious arrears
- in addition there is no need to tell the client that we have probably
lost the shipment. We have the goods
and they are quite safe.

Euro will continue to hold your freight hostage until they sort out this
disputed invoice. Monday Morning our legal dept will take legal action, we
are certian that once the legal channels get involved your freight will get
released.

Once again, your business decision is not ethical nor proper. You Blew this
out of proportions and for this hard ball was being as to play. Hard ball
we will play. Both uf us know the FMC will force Mark to release this
shipment and furthermore suggest we sort our disputed invoices on our own
time without allowing any cutomer to suffer. It seems your need to go
through the motions and not take our word for it.

David,
You will hear from us, the legal dept. And Euro USA USA office by Monday.
Rachels Tactic of holding freight is accepted if we are pirates, not in
2010 when we have a normal business relationship sending them hundreds of
thousands of dollars in business in the last few years.

Once again, we are very sorry about this and we will have to wait to Monday
to for Legal to Step in.

Monday if custmer is not confirmed to get delivery we will have no other
option but to have our legal dept contact the consolidator / your counter
part in the USA to expedite this, its clear your office is way out of line
with this shipment and its just not right, as for the past due invoice it
will get satisfied as soon as possible. Please lets have this issue

Dear David,
I have taken these actions personally, and I dont like it, this is
BULLSHIT, Sorry for my language, but AINT NO AGENT ANYWHERE WORLD WIDE will
hold any customer of mine for any reason, all our invoices are prepaid to
our agents so we do not have any issues like this. We pay our bills and our
name is GOLD in the market, additionally we will offer you a compensation
money back for this grievance. Monday I will have more power, everything
will be opened and I can go to war, now I cannot do much. You will hear
from me on Monday.
