Henderson Bad customer service

December 6th... I'm a 28 year old female who was looking for a Mitsubishi Eclipse... A used one at that. Of course I took my husband with me because of the many stories or dealerships ripping women off. Well not this GIRL!!!

This is my story..
First I'm going to tell you how my husband was able to purchase a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am with 1200 down along with a 86 bmw trade in he owed 1900 dollars on. He also had a repo 10 months ago and was still able to purchase this car with only 12,000 miles on it.

I was also looking for a deal like that because my credit wasn't as bad as his. The reason I did not use his dealership was because I did not see anything I liked so we went a few more dealerships down and I had my eyes fixed on this 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Now when I got out to look at the car I was approached my a man by the name of Curtis... He insisted I take the car for a drive. At first I was like. No. But he said he had to because he hadn't shown any cars the whole day and he needed too because his managers were pressuring him or else he's lose his job... I felt bad for the guy so I said. Fine.

Now this car had about 68,000 miles on it and were asking about 11,000. After we took the car for a drive he said to come in and he would get our information to see if we could get this car. I really loved the way the car drove for it being that year and that many mileage it seemed afforable for me. I had a trade in I was willing to give plus money down.

The first deal they gave me was how much I was willing to put down. We told them the deal my husband got and we were looking for around that same deal. They changed the deal a few times. First it was I didn't have enough trade lines showing. Then it was my car for a trade in and 3000 down with a 22 percent interest... We laughed and said hell no. Then he said how about half the down payment. For that car being that year and that much mileage... He were about to walk out.

As we got up to leave after getting such a bad deal. He said no no wait we can get this deal through. But I was upset with the second deal he threw at us.

The next day Curtis called and said the manager would take payments of 275.00 1500 down payment and the trade in. We laughed again and said hell no. A week later Curtis calls again saying they have a good deal for us and think they can help us. So we make an appt. For the next day we were a little late arriving and the manager had left. Curtis was there with another mitsubishi for us to look at.

When we got there we were ready to test drive it. Curtis said one us needed to go in the office first before we test drove it.
So my husband went in and sat down and the same finance dealer that was there told my husband what deal we wanted again. My husband told them he wanted 2000 for the trade which we owed 1150 on and 10 percent down which we only would have had to come up with 500 dollars out of our pocket. The manager said he didn' t think he could do that but he was going to check.

Now as my husband was sitting there he could hear everything that was being said in the office. A big fat man with a mustache who was the floor manager went over to Curtis and the finance manager and said "Is he willing to make a deal with us or not!" "wheres the trade in wheres the money!" Curtis says "well, I need to go take them for a test drive". Fat Man says "No Curtis! Were not going to waste our time on this guy. He doesn't have his trade in or the money! He's not even serious about purchasing a car, he's just playing with us. So you tell him to have that trade in and cash by tomarrow and we can do business. But were not going to waste our time here when we can go home!".

After my husband heard this he was very upset. First of all we are consumers you treat your customers with respect. Someone who is wanting to buy a car you try and give them the best deal you can give, you don't give them the run around. My husband walked out after hearing that and Curtis came back running after him. He said that guy (we call him the big fat jerk) is just the manager he doesn't know anything about this deal so come back tomarrow and talk to the general manager.

Sooo... We go back the next day this time without the trade in and just trying to put down 1500 as a down payment. The finance manager gave us a story on how the bank works and would only allow us a 10,000 purchase now. I told him I was going to buy a car I liked and not some piece of crap that is going to break down on me in a year. He said if I wanted a car like THAT I would need 7,000 down. Mind you that mitsubishi was 13,000 year 2000 with 38,000 miles.

The finance manager went on about how the bank did not want to give us the mitsubishi because if me and my husband EVER broke up I could not afford the car... The BANK said THIS! That was it. I got in the car and was in tears...

Please Do not deal with these people. They can't even give you a straight honest deal. You go to a dealership you get what you want not what they want to give you! Because of the fact that I did not want their deals and we know we could get better they pushed us away. They gave us poor customer service and a load of lies.
