This is a complaint which I believe should be directed to company policy. Today I shopped at the Brick towsp. Store in N.J. I purchased 3 toys and a sweater for gifts to different age groups.in the computer game dept. I had a question to ask of the staff. Before I could finish she informed me that there were 40 people waiting in line when the store opened and although other customers were waiting she rushed off. (I later discovered she had left the register to help someone - very understandable). I then found a staff member in the aisle who was able to answer but didn't know enough about Wii to give me accurate info. Hooray I found it myself! Quite a feat for a grandmother of 65. I continued to select other purchases and went to checkout. The line moved swiftly and when I asked for gift receipts, I was informed the best she could do was the receipt at the end of the receipt. I was somewhat flabergasted that it isn't a policy to ask if I wanted separate gift receipts for each item. Picture the 65 yr old grandma purchasing toys and clothes of distinctly different age groups! I asked to return everything. "You should have asked before they were rung up" "you will have to go to guest services for returns." I shop many different stores in the area. Most will either give you a separate gift receipt or ask. Therefore I believe it is the training at Target which leaves little room for customer consideration. At the Guest relations the clerk was ready to refund my money until I told her I had just purchased the items. She then told me she could just give me the gift receipts. Which I am happy to have. All in all the service was inconsiderate of the customer. I had to ask for your address! Doesn't make me want to return
