After becoming unemployed, I discussed payment arrangements with Fingerhut. I agreed to allow them to deduct payments monthly from my checking account. Because of the automatic deductions, I was not aware of the late charges and interest until I realized the balance was not going down. I made several attempts to discuss the matter via phone. However, I could only connect to a voice recording, directing me to push this or that number. Never affording me the priviledge to talk to a "live" person. Even though they are taking the monies directly from my account when they want to, they are still charging me late fees. A balance of $605.48 is currently owed. They are stating that the estimated amount will end up with Fingerhut being paid $822.00. $216.52 over the amount due.
