In response to a leaky roof I hired a contractor (Chris Beach from C & B Flooring and Home Remodeling) to look at my roof on Oct. 18th 2010. He stated that the nails were put in wrong and it was leaking around the nail holes. He also stated that he would need to replace half of my roof. He asked for a check for $650.00 to buy the shingles. He immediately took the check to my bank and cashed it and never bought the shingles or ever returned to do the job.
He blocked my phone calls and would not answer my emails. I emailed him on several occasions requesting a refund since he wasn't going to do the job.
I have since hired another contractor to look at my leaky roof and as it turns out everything Chris Beach told me regarding my roof was a lie. The new contractor quoted me $350 to install rain guards and replace damaged shingles. Rain was getting up under the shingles.
I really need to get my money refunded from Chris Beach as it is a financial burden since I am a senior on a fixed income.
