I received a collect call from a family member today. My family member and I spoke briefly for less than ten minutes. After hanging up, I decided to check my online banking system, only to discover that I had been charged $35.00 for a ten minute phone call through a company called Legacy OSP.
My initial reaction was to GOOGLE the company name and get a hold of a representative. I discovered no "official website" of the company, but an overwhelming number of online complaints by frustrated customers instead! In spite this service being an obvious rip-off, they still exist. And I'm sure there's some fancy jargon established that makes it all LEGAL. The funny thing is... Most people utilize collect calling services in case of emergencies. This service is beyond a rip off... It's UNETHICAL and needs to be stopped!
