My brother received this letter in the mail with a "pseudo-check" valued at $1,250, 000.00 attached to it. It was from a company called IRC, Imperial Reporting Company of Plainviiew, New York. The letter claimed that he had "won" this amount and that what he needed to do to be awarded these winnings was to send $19.95 to the company, who would act as a liason between him and the awarding company. This is the same scam format that another New York company, NAAC, National Account Award Company, uses, even down to the amount.
The FBI should step in and put a stop to this, or at the very least, the Postal Inspectors since this is an interstate postal scam.
