Hair Extensions Gone Bad!

Be careful when you answer an ad for hair extensions on one of the free advertising sites such as Craigs List.

Levi is a hair stylist who advertises her expertise in hair extensions. She moves from salon shops often in Brandon, Seffner, Valrico and that general area, I wonder why? When I asked her why she was in a new place, she said she had to leave quick, some problem with the owner of that shop. She only accepts cash, I wonder why? She won't take a check - hmm I wonder why? She doesn't carry the hair extensions - you have to pay for them up front then she'll order them for you and have you pay the Paypal fees she accrued in her order. She charges tax for online orders. WTF? No one charges tax on online orders shipped from other States! She claims she doesn't make any money on the orders but doesn't provide a bill of sale. Yeah right! She says she only takes cash because she doesn't have a bank account. How the heck does she process her Paypal orders without a bank account... I guess she thinks we're stupid.

Levi will put the hair extensions in, you might be lucky and catch her on a good day when she'll remember to sew them all in. You want your new hair trimmed? Good luck. She doesn't cut hair. You want the extension to match your hair color? Good luck she's not a hair colorist. Do we know if she even has a license? Maybe I should have asked that but stupid me, I figured if she's working in a hair salon she's certified.

I remember one day when I came in to have my weaves redone. Yes, I paid cash again and more than she quoted me when I made the appointment. Levi left my hair all in a mess and didn't even offer to flat iron it (you don't need to be a hair stylist to do that). To add insult to injury, when I got home I realized she also forgot to sew in a whole row on the back. When hair extensions go bad! Hey, that's great service for you! Thanks Levi!

Needless to say Levi's bedside manner could use a lot of polishing. She's extremely cocky and rude after she's done taking your money. She will tell you come in if your new weave needs a little maintenance at no extra charge. Good luck trying to get another appointment from her, and if you do it's at some ungodly hour no body wants. Don't miss it, she won't she you again. If you're late, she won't take you. If you call to reschedule, she will give you every excuse in the book why she can't see you and she won't return your call.

You see Levi already made her money up front. Cash too so nothing you can do about it. Unless you're waving a wad of new greens under her nose she's on to the next customer.

You might pay a little more, but make sure your next hair extension specialist takes credit cards and is licensed and has been in her shop for more than 6 months. Your new hair will love you for it.
