Missleading Sale Item - aggressive customer service

I came to the Clackamas store to look for office chairs, look for Kitchen accessories, and look for kitchen Bar stools. I found the Office chair I wanted on Clearance ($29.98) but there were none on the shelf. A Targer Associate was summoned and helped me by using his hand held inventory device. He found that his store had no inventory but that the East Side Target (Mall 205) store had 8 according to this mornings inventory. The item was on clearance at that store also. He provided me with the phone # of the Mall 205 store. I called and verified that they still had some but the Target Associate quoted me a price of $41.98? I decided to go to customer service to find out why the differenc and the Associate (Amber) informed me that the store just a few miles down the street has different prices and that I would have to pay the price at that store? She was very stubborn about this policy. I questioned her and pointed out the Price match poster at the counter but she said that only applies to competitors advertised prices. If this is true then you have a BIG problem with your policy. Pleas contact me to discuss this further. I would love to purchase this chair for the clearance price of $29.98. Maybe I should purchase all I can at $29.98 and return them to the Mall 205 store for credit at $41.98. Since I have spent several hundred dollars at Target along with my friends and family, we could use the credit difference (if that is the Target policy)? Please call me ASAP at 503-544-2779
