Sent me the full CD package for a "free trial" following purchase of a $10 "special offer" (hook). They claim they charged my credit card. Never specified how much, but it hasn't appeared in my card billing yet. Delivery and charge were unauthorized

PimsleurApproach.com buries its "Free Trial" information via a hyperlink (in a box on their homepage) which is ambiguous (if found at all) as to whether their offer refers to the special $10.00 order (the "special order" is promoted as a trial, although that word isn't used) or the "free" trial of their 4 x $64=$256 full product. I was referred to this homepage box by their representative upon complaining that I hadn't authorized the $256 full trial. The special $10 purchase agreement information is unclear as to whether it refers to the $10 offer or the full trial, which (in my case) arrived in the mail unexpectantly and which the company representative claims was "authorized". Further, the company's website uses misleading "certified" bugs, such as a "Trusted Retailer 2010" bug, which is not authorized by anyone, and a "McAfee Secure" bug, that doesn't specify that this guarantees against web virusses only. Careful reading of the buried "trial" agreement on their website threatens penalties for any, even minor, damage to their product, as adjudged by Pimsleur Approach; and additional "reshelving" charges for late return, which is within 10 days upon receipt of their "Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA)" although the product is stated as "FREE" for 30 days in the delivery insert. The insert in the "free" full-trial trial claims a "100% Risk-Free Guarantee" although the best offer for return of the (in my case UNOPENED) product is for a FedEx tracking label from them, and they refuse to make any guarantees to insure return shipment. Of course, the customer must deliver the product to FedEx at his or her expense. One must read the "Legal Notices" via a tiny link at the bottom of their homepage in order to ascertain all these conditions of purchase.
