On July 3, I went to Bobs with the intention of purchasing new furniture for my living room. I dealt with a gentlemen named Tyriq Malik. He helped me with my purchase and financing. I was going to do 6 months same as cash. I purchased a couch, mini couch, area rug, 2 lamps and an entertainment center. I informed Tyriq that I was going to be having a hardwood floor installed so I was not sure when I would like the furniture to be delivered. He said, "it was no problem, I just had to give them 3 days notice." On July 5th I hired the people who were going to install my new floor. They were putting it in the next day. I notified Bobs and they told me everything could be delivered with the exception of the entertainment center. That was on back order until the end of July. I was infuriated because had I been told this in the store I would have had the option to make changes to my purchase. We agreed that they would deliver the rest of the stuff on 7/10. Since I have a job I could not be there so I paid someone to wait the day for the delivery. Everything that was in the living room was disposed off in order to get the new stuff in. They showed up with a broken couch and a badly stained mini couch. I refused the delivery because it was a mess. They left the area rug and the lamps. On the way out the couches hit my walls and gouged them pretty badly. We made arrangements again to try a second time on 7/14. The furniture arrives and once again there is problems with the couch being ripped. They thought they might send someone to come and fix it. I objected because I bought new stuff and did now want anything that needed any kind of repair. They insisted on leaving these two pieces so we could have something to sit on. We set up another delivery date for July 31st. This time they could not even take the couch off the truck because it was broken in half. They did proceed to finally get the entertainment center here. That was also damaged. I contacted the store on a number of occasions to express my frustration. I had requested that someone in some kind of authority to contact me. Basically I got the run arround since they only sell the furniture and they cannot help me with the delivery issues. I put a complaint on the bobs website a few weeks ago and no one called me. They were scheduled to come again this Wed to try and replace this stuff again. Since I cannot get someone of importance to contact me I have asked them to pick it all up. Of course, they thought a store credit would be good enough and I was not going to agree with that. After all we are on attempt 4 and I still have furniture that is imperfect. Get a load of this they billed me for the ripped couch which I find to be ridiculous. How can you bill for something that is not right? The next clincher was that I received a bill that I was not even expecting. I was told if I paid the balance off within the six months I would pay no interest. I was never told that a monthly payment was part of this or I would have just bought outright. Another misleading pitch to their sale. I have had to hire someone for the 4th time to stay at my home to deal with issues that should be Bobs not mine. I feel they should compensate me for the people that had to be hired to wait for them. On top of that I now have no furniture once they pick this up. I have gotten rid of all of my old furniture so now I have nothing to sit on, damaged wall that needs to be repaired and this is also going to cause me to have repaint the room. I feel I should be compensated in some form for the damage and time that I have lost due to the terrible service they provided. Oh and when I decided I had enough I told them I wanted my money back and the person I worked with thought they were going to give me a store credit. What a joke! I loved all the stuff I bought they just could not get it here not damaged. The finally agreed to refund my money but I feel they need to compensate me for all of my waisted time. I also find it very interesting that they could charge my credit card for any of these goods until they got it right. I think this is fraudulent.
