Usual situation: They called after hearing I had a timeshare to market. Very convincing salesperson who called from New York State. Claimed to have a buyer available, and told me it would be a 30-45 day turn-around from sign to sale to check. That was 6 weeks ago. Have no contract, no check.
Calling the customer service number on the website is met with a recording that the phone is unavailable due to "technical difficulties".
Email, via the form on their website, will get you a response, provided you word it correctly. They do not like to be called scammers, thieves, or con artists and a "Yolanda" will generally call back within 24 hours to explain how you are wrong. Be warned though - her way of dealing is to shout and talk over you, without ever giving you a chance to speak. It does get under her skin though - even though my money is most likely permanently gone, I can at least amuse myself by tormenting a scammer.
Phone messages left for Calvin Summers (631-522-6706) have gone unanswered.
Even worse? Innovative Resorts will send you out a professional looking folder with your contracts, complete with yet another brochure asking for donations to the "American Patriot Heroes' Fund", describing how it is a fund set up to help US veterans. The envelope they enclose for you to send donations is addressed to the Jericho NY address. They also enclose two DVDs which I have never looked at but would be happy to provide to law enforcement officials.
Cost to me for being stupid: $1,999.00
