We were contacted by these people telling us they would sell our timeshare for us. They said they already had a buyer and that the buyer was pre-approved for the money and had put down a $1000 deposit.
They said the process would take about 4 weeks to complete. After 4 weeks (surprise!) they said that the buyer needed more time to get their loan approval, this after telling us in the beginning that they were pre-approved. The closing date was extended another 2 weeks.
After 2 weeks there was something else that they were waiting for so the date was delayed another 2 weeks. We spoke to an Angelica Pierce. She was very good at convincing us that everything was just fine and they would have a signed sales contract to us.
I am looking for any information from anyone who has been a victim of these predators. Has anyone tried to get their money back? Does anyone know of any FTC or state government action against them?
I would appreciate any legitimate help that I can get. Thanks.
