To whom it may concern...
Earlier this evening, I was visited by a young female who claimed to be a student from a local school who was participating in a school program which would award students scholarships for doing certain "tasks." She claimed that the students were traveling door-to-door and cleaning carpets in order to earn "credits" toward their scholarships. She asked if they'd be allowed to enter into the house and clean my carpets. I declined. She then began to plead, as a young child would (using guilt), by claiming "but it's for our education."
I then informed her that I was not able to afford any services at the moment. She assured me that I did not have to pay ANYTHING and that it was "totally free." In addition, she stated that they "were NOT selling ANYTHING." After about a 5 minute discussion, (and assuming from what I was told, that they were students from the Saint Paul, Ne School) I decided to let them enter.
