Alert! Telemarketeer ripoff magazine company that preys on the unsuspecting, young and old alike

Like others who have submitted complaints about Express Information Systems and felt powerless to escape from the clutches of this telemarketeer scam, here's how to break the back of these moneygrubbing thieves. If you've asked these scoundrels to cancel your initial contract and been told that it can't be done, don't argue. Simply say, "We'll see about that." Don't get angry, and don't pay them anymore money via check or credit card. Break all contact with them. Go to your bank and ask to speak to an officer and explain the dilemma you're in. If you've been paying by check, close that account. If you've been paying by credit card, contact the credit card company using the phone number on the back of the card and ask to be transferred to a representative in the fraud division who, upon hearing your story, will 'dead' the card and issue you a brand-new one in short order. That will infuriate the scammers, and don't be surprised if you get a call from a thief in a cubicle threatening that the matter will be turned over to a collection agency if you don't pay. Don't get flustered, get even. Contact the office of your state attorney general and asked to be connected to the fraud division. A lawyer representative will quiz you about your experience with this so-called magazine vendor, and you'll very likely be sent a form to fill out, companioned by an affidavid detailing the various ploys to extort money from you. Fill it out and return it to the attorney journal. If you don't live in Arizona, ask the representative if it would be of any use to contact the state attorney general's office in Arizona. Said rep may do that himself to expadite matters on your behalf. Have a little patience, the wheels of justice turn slowly. If the telemarketeer contacts you again, either with threats or offers just too good to be true, take a pass. A final thought. Buy your magazines at a good newstand or peruse the racks at Barnes & Noble. Steer clear of any marketeer or fundraiser who contacts you by phone. And NEVER let anyone know the numbers of your bank accounts and credit cards!
