I had a store on the internet and needed to upgrade my virtual credit card machine to accept more credit cards. I chose PayPal Website Payments Pro. Big mistake.
After two months, I closed down my store because of lack of sales. The only sale I got turned out to be a customer who did a chargeback. PayPal took the money from my account but returned it after I provided UPS tracking information. The buyer continued to fight, his credit card company found in his favor, and PayPal took the money back again.
PayPal told me there was nothing they could do for me and that I would have to fight this customer outside of PayPal. PayPal said Website Payments Pro does not offer financial protection. The customer said he did not recognize the sale. I sent PayPal a copy of all our emails back and forth.
