I was sent an e-mail the last week of May indicating I had been selected to join Advantage Promotions aka Score One Promotionsbased on my resume & demographics of my residence poutside Phila delphia. I was interviewed & then in Phila. At the Liberty Tower Bldg. & reffered to Larry O'Obrian Sales Director at Score One for a final interview. I called Larry and was told that I was a great candidate but needed to work in Allentown PA for a TRIAL DAY to see if see if I was interested. I worked all day on May 27th. And asked to call Larry at two hour intervals.By the end of the day I told Larry I was interested & he asked me when I could start. I responded June 1st and spoke to Tiffant in the HR Dept. She asked me for my address, social security number, etc. & indicated checks were mailed out weekly on Weds. So I would receive me check on Fridays.
I developed a list osf schools to visit to promote the company posters & worked throug the week 6/1-6/4. I also asked Larry to confirm my base salary was $30k via e-mail & verbally. I asked him point blank if I was being paid for my time & he responded I wasn't working for free & neither was he. After four gruelling days and 33 high schools & Univ. Visits and 150 miles of gas expenses I asked Larry when I was going to receive my first check he indicated no sales meant no income!!!
What ripp off, do not work for these people they are con artists. Please see my e-mails.
Larry,
Will call you at 8:00am tomorrow however, I would like confirmation that I am being added to the payroll as an employee with a 30K base. I understand the need to produce 3-4 sales per week & am ready to actively seek sponsors & sign up high schools/universities but need to know there is a base salary. If this is not the case please let me know.
Thanks,
Carl J. Gonzalez
