Absurd - aggressive customer service

I have always experienced courteous Target clerks until tonight. Stopped by Target on Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC. Attempted to buy 2 bottles of wine.initial check-out clerk explained that she was underage and could not check alcohol out. Another 40'ish clerk asked for my Driver's License. Explained to clerk, Driver License in car. Offered other forms of identification with birth date on it. I am 54 years old. Carla, front register lead person yelled back at manager, Jada, from register. Manager never comes to register. Carla walks away and reappears announcing "company policy, have to have Driver's License"! Middle age customer repeats offer to provide other forms of ID with birthdate. Even offer to go to car for Driver's License. Carla adamant about company policy. Immediately return to same clerk with Driver's License from car. Asked Carla's name since her name badge was covered up. Also, asked for phantom manager's name. Explained to Carla intent to complain. Carla's response "You want to complain! Carla SLAPS a Target.com / comments postcard in my hand. Carla then loudly elaborates to me" you can't get me fired because I am following company policy!" My response "yes, but you forgot your customer service skills"! Carla storms away from register. I explained to younger, polite clerk. I understand company policy but managers also have to use common sense when carding a 54 year old with other proof of birthdate.
