Accelerator Problem - Galant

I own a 2004 Galant and I have experienced the same problem that is effecting Toyota Motors causing a huge recall.
I want to know why hasn't Mitsubishi also submitted a recall.
I have avoided many accidents only by shifting the transmission into neutral.
