I purchased a new Mitsubishi Endeavor 2004 in the Dallas, TX area. Within 6 years the color on the hood and top of the car has begun to fade. There are huge white patches that are beginning to appear on the car.
I contacted my dealer and requested that the problem be fixed as a matter of courtesy. A 6 year old with car paint fading is a sign of poor quality. Paint should not be fading this early.
Dealer forwarded my query to Mitsubishi corporate and I was informed that they could not do anything, because the car is out of warranty. I currently have 48K miles on this car, and warranty is valid upto 36K.
I called up the corporate office to complain for a second time, and I got the same response. Basically after "careful consideration" they decided that they would not fix the paint on my car.
I now have a car that I am embarrased to drive around, not to mention the poor resale value of this car.
