In 2005 I purchased a Mitsubishi Galant car through Jeff D'ambrosio dealer in Downingtown Pa. Last year, while the car was still under warranty the paint began to fade on the hood and side of the car. I took the car to D'ambrosio and they stated that it was Mitsubishi's problem and Mitsubishi instructed them to "spot paint" the damaged parts. I asked what happens if I get more spots after this. I want you to paint the entire car. They would not do that. Now the paint is fading on other parts of the car. My son and I took the car over to D'ambrosio again and again we were told it is Mitsubishi's problem and I would have to wait and see what they were going to do this time. The Service Manager for Mitsubishi is supposed to call me when he finds out. We took the car over there on May 25. I still have not heard anything from them. I understand there is already a class action regarding the fading paint on several brands of cars. They are saying that the government required this paint because it is environmentaly friendly. Any help would be appreciated.
