I was hired to be a contractor at this company and was added to their payroll and had the usual deductions taken from my first paycheck. We agreed verbally upon a rate of $10 an hour.
The paychecks are supposed to be issued every two weeks but I never received my final paycheck; I submitted a timecard which was processed through a timeclock, so the payroll agent has a record of my hours.
I called Joni several times and was told by her receptionist/assistant that she would get back to me and leave a message if I was not home. She never did and I have not received the money she owes me.
Three other employees at that company have not received their paychecks either and have gotten no explanation for this. She is avoiding everyone and hardly comes into her office. For some reason, two of these employees are choosing to work for no pay. I think she has brainwashed them.
I want to warn people not to do business with Joni Crane under any circumstances. Employers who withhold salaries from employees are dishonest, amoral, and have no integrity, so consumers ought to be warned because these character deficits can affect them as well.
