I have been a happy customer of AMHAC for over 30 years. However, in the last month, my experience has been very negative.
In AMHAC installed a new gas furnace in my house on Sunset Drive in White Plains. To do this, they had to take out a Mechanical Permit and a Plumbing Permit from the city. At the end of the installation, they closed out the mechanical permit with an inspection. However, I just discovered that they never closed out the plumbing permit. Since I am in the final stages of selling the house, this is a major problem. Over the last month, I have called their customer service director almost every day asking him to talk to the White Plains plumbing inspector to close the permit. Nothing has happened. I have spoken to the White Plains Plumbing Inspector who has specified what AMHAC needs to do and nothing has happened, even after I conveyed this information to AMHAC.
AMHAC did not finish the job in 2007 when they did not close out the plumbing permit and they are showing no interest in closing out the job now after 3 years. Given that I am in the final stages of selling this house, their performance in rectifying their initial error is unacceptable.
