Bransford Plumbing Contractor (M-12427) failed to order the permit and the post installation inspection by the City of Fort Worth as required by local code and as agreed through the service work order with Total Protect Home Service Plan. On the day of installation (10/3/09) of the hot water heater, I requested of the installer to include the permit number of the invoice. He stated that he could not and would call me back on Monday, October 5, with the permit number. As of 10/13/09, I have not heard from Bransford Plumbing. My calls to the City of Fort Worth on 10/07/09,10/10/09 and 10/13/09 confirmed that Bransford Plumbing Contractors had not ordered the permit as required by local code. I was charged $125 by Bransford Plumbing for the permit fee.
The terms of the warrenty on the new hot water heater through Total Protect Home Service are that the heater must be installed by a licensed plumbing in accordance with local code. Bransford Plumbing is the plumbing contractor that Total Protect Home Service contacted Bransford Plumbing to inspect my hot water heater for the initial problem.
