I posted a report a little bit ago about being scammed by this company and I see people pleading on how to get their money back.
Call your bank.
My bank explained to me that it's weird that MOS wants to use a debit card number to bill you, instead of using an electronic check which can be cancelled.By using the debit card or an atm card there is no way the bank can block mos from billing you for magazines because it is recognized as an atm withdrawal.
What you MUST do is call your bank, and have them change your ATM card number. This leaves your actual bank account number alone, but MOS won't be able to get into it.
My bank also thought it was weird that MOS withdraws different amounts for different people.
What my bank did for me was refund the fees I got when MOS took money out of my account in those following months where I hadn't agreed to be charged. They then sent me a paper that I could fill out so my bank could go after the company.
So change your ATM card number, or whichever number you gave them.
You'll get phone calls from them afterwards... I get calls from people claiming to be "the publishers" of the magazines, but since the publishers send to MOS and not to YOU, how could the publishers be calling me personally? I usually slam down the phone. So far no written threats though.
So don't even argue with them... Just don't talk to them. Because they want more info on you. This is a HUGE scam.
