After sending in my final modification offer in the fed ex envelope provided (verified on time) that was due on 1/1, I sent on 12/28 received on 12/29. I received a letter stating that the final modification was denied because the documents were not received by 12/30. I called and spoke with Yvette #21305 and she stated that she would escalate and to call back on 2/3. I called and reached Praveen #9371 who stated the the modification had been approved and went on to tell me that my payments were actually higher than what was on the MHA offer. I calculated the difference and it came to 101,000.00 -, and I asked how could this be? I was informed that the documents were being sent out and to sign and send back, that this was a GMAC modification and not MHA, because my documents according the their system were not received by the due date, which the evidence shows a different story.
If I was not as informed as I was and was "grateful" to have my modification approved and sign and send back whatever they sent me, then I would have be "scammed" by the lender at a cost of over 100,000.00.
I have filed a report with sig tarp and wanted to warn anybody being considered by gmac for a mha modification to send everything via registered mail, copy everything, cahiers checks for payments, and if your 3 month trial goes over to keep making the agreed upon payment.
