$13 'Customer Level Charge' for pickups NONDISCLOSURE

On Feb. 2 a review of my credit card statement turned up multiple (five) incidences of a $13 charge by FedEx. When looking deeper, it was labeled as a 'customer level charge' so I called to inquire as to just WTF that meant. As it turns out, when you sign the adhesion contract by clicking the 'I Agree to the Terms and Conditions' radio button necessary to ship, you are agreeing that you have FULLY read and understood the thirty some pages of legal boilerplate that is the FedEx Shippers Agreement and that you are cognizant that a $13 charge will be levied for them to come and pick up a parcel, even if they are only doing so while delivering the days drop to your multiple-resident dwelling (i.E. A high rise apartment complex). While the manager I spoke to agreed that such a charge should be disclose AT THE TIME YOU CREATE A SHIPPING LABEL, he did not credit back anything and thus I closed my account. I would encourage anyone reading this to do the same until this atrocious practice is curbed as it is borderline fraud to sneak in these charges on the back end.
