Before opening a checking account with BofA, you should be very aware that they are out to get your money and they have very bad customer service and don't care anything about their customers as they depend on their popularity and size, one less customer will not hurt their bottom line. I strongly urge you to look for another bank that is more customer service friendly than BofA can ever hope to be.
Here is my story: On Mon 1/25, there was a check withdrawn from my account bringing my total to $102.10, on Fri. & Sat. I made 4 different charges at different places: -$40.20 on 1/23, -$40 on 1/22, -$20.66 on 1/23, -$6.51 on 1/23 yet these don't hit my account according to the dates charged, they deducted a larger amount of $270 electronic payment on the scheduled on the 25th first, making my balance negative so instead of bouncing once for $35 charge, it was made to bounce 5 times! Does that make sense to anyone out there, you would think the bank would debit your account according to the dates the charges come in; on a first come - first paid basis; but NO! It is a BofA policy that the highest amount gets paid first as it is the more "important" bill.
