Told me one thing and did another. They are dishonest and arrogant!

I purchased a 2001 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer from this dealership. It seemed like a really good deal. Now I know why it was such a good deal. First, the very next day after we got it home, we noticed a really strong smell of anti-freeze. It turns out, they failed to catch in their "inspection" they are supposed to have before selling a car that the heater core was bad and was pumping toxic fumes into the car. After haggling back and forth, they agreed to fix it at their shop, which required me to miss some work. The only nice thing I can say is that the gentleman in the service department and the lady at the service department desk have been the only two professional people that I have met in this whole business. They fixed the heater core, but now (as I write this) the dash is rattling and squeaking very loudly because it seems as though they did not replace the dash correctly after replacing the heater core. I called about this and the service manager (Mike Levey—I think) was professional and nice about this and said that they are going to look at it if I can bring it down again. However, this is only half of the problem. When I purchased the vehicle I wrote a check (which the salesman told me to do) knowing full well that I didn't have the funds in there, but he (the salesman) told me that they would hold the check until I could go to my local bank and get the check that I had already arranged. Well, I expressed my concern that the process to get the check so that I could deposit it into my account and make my personal check good might take several days or longer to which he replied "don't worry... As long as it is done before the end of the month it will be ok". Well, that was a bold-faced lie because they waited only 7 days to deposit the check, which did not clear and I got assessed a $25 fee from my bank because of a lie that the salesman told me. Then, when I called to get the $25 back (because it was their fault), the salesman did not follow-up with me directly and in fact passed the matter on to the finance manager. The finance manager basically told me that "I'm not trying to be difficult, I am just telling you that you are not going to get $25 from us" in an arrogant and very matter-of-factly way. He obviously has no customer service skills other than when he is trying to get you to sign the paperwork for a sale. These guys are THE REASON that car dealers have a bad name. Stay away from this place. They are dishonest and it seems like they will say whatever to get the sale and leave you high and dry when something goes wrong. Stay away from this car dealership.
