I was contacted for an office/customer service job by a man named Brian, went in for an interview and was guaranteed a salary of $300 base pay plus commission, and was told I could potentially make up to $800 a week. I was told I was going to be making phone calls as a "customer service" position.
Next thing I knew they handed me a stack of telephone numbers and had me read a script over the phone. This was not customer service, it was straight up TELEMARKETING. But for three hundred dollars I kept thinking, just do it. My job was to get a customer interested, then hand them off to someone else. If they ended up buying something then I would get a cut out of it.
Come to find out on payday, NO three hundred dollars.
When I confronted them they said you only get $300 if you make enough sales. This was BULLSHIT. Five other people were hired around the same time I was, and all of them had been promised the $300 as well. We have made complaints on the BetterBusinessBureau and anywhere we can to stop this.
They should NOT be allowed to lie about a salary. If anyone is ever contacted about working for this company, DONT DO IT. All you would be doing is telemarketing for maybe $80 a week.
They are LIARS and according to the other usacomplaints.com, the entire company is a scam.
