After checking my credit card transactions this month, I noticed a charge for $14.95 that I did not recognize. I googled the merchant name and found that other people had been charged from this company VPCLUBUS for at least $14.95 a month as well. I got on the phone immediately, calling the supposed company. I only reached a recording that told me my "membership number" based on my name and zip code. I could not reach a live person. I called my credit card company and started the dispute process. Things to know:
1. Call your credit card company and ask for the Dispute Dept. Then tell the rep that you could not reach a live person with VPCLUBUS. They will call for you (while you're on the line) and transfer you to a live person.
2. Demand ALL of your money back.in my case, it was 5 months of charges - $75 worth.
3. They supposedly will refund all your money back within 3-5 business days with no questions asked.
4. Call your credit card company back and ask for Dispute Dept. Again, stating that you want them to acknowledge your dispute.
5. Follow up in 8-10 days with your credit card company.
I am sick thinking of all the charges. I am worried that there are more I did not catch.
