My elderly mother gave Stephen P. Collette & Associates $3,500 in order to pursue a real estate loan modification. He went so far as to say the case was presented to a Judge and is in his hands for a ruling. We have not been able to obtain the name of the Judge or where the case was presented. He has moved his office and will not return our phone calls. This has been going on for over a year. My mom is on a fixed income and has not paid her mortgage for over 4 months because she was expecting a ruling. She now faces bankruptcy and loss of her home. This man is a liar and a cheat. I would strongly advise against anyone using his services. We are in the process of reporting him to the California Bar Association.
