This is basically about many of the complaints already written and also about the only data the buyer has for tickets may be the “click here for delivery type”. I select 2 days Fed EX, thinking I am getting my tickets in 2-4 days. SO,
1. Where is it written to inform the buyer that Stub Hub “cannot guarantee or require that the seller will deliver the tickets immediately? ” I read that statement from a Executive Customer Care Manager. People that need to make travel arrangements many not want to purchase tickets that an individual does not have in their hands…. Basically owns. Its misleading when you select 2-Day delivery, then after payment you get an e-mail that basically states that delivery is really 3 months – all sells are final & Fan Protect is activated.
2. Where is it written to inform a buyer that he is not purchasing real tickets, but maybe a lottery spot that may take place in 3-4 months. This is information the seller knows up front and can be disclosed. If I am making travel arrangement, I would stay away from these type of tickets. A lot of complaints are about people selling tickets they don’t have in hand…. Why not just make them disclose that data.
Fan Protect seems to only protect the seller and offers the buyer conditions that may not have any value to them based on their travel needs. All that is needed is disclosure and many of the issue would go away. So, I have to agree that Stub Hub is not a place you should purchase tickets if you do not live in the city where the event is taking place. There are several listings about people not getting their tickets and it was finally sent to Will Call, but when they traveled all that distance and arrived at Will Call…. No tickets.
I am going through this issue right now. I need my tickets in my hand – NOW. But was told 3 months delivery after I selected tickets with 2 Day Fed EX delivery which was the only information about delivery. They, tell you this information after the purchase, then protect the seller. You will spend months wondering if you are really going to get in the show.
