I applied for cell phone service with UNICEL in 2008 while I was working part time as a Senior Aide out of City Hall, downtown Duluth, Minnesota 55802. I had no problems accessing Network Coverage and had no complaints with the service until March 7 when I was injured in an accident and became disabled and pretty-much homebound in the Lakeside area of East Duluth 55804. I was not able to obtain sufficient Network Coverage from my residence to meet my needs. I reported this to the UNICEL customer service representatives on numerous occasions and was promised that they would correct the problem but it got worse and on December 7 I notified them that I was cancelling the service and I returned the telephone and all their equipment to the company via Insured Mail. Now I am informed that there is a $200 penalty assessed due to early cancellation. I have refused to pay this amount because I was never informed of this when I took out the service.
