Uniguard took $19.95 out of my account. It was caught immediately. I called them and told them I wanted my money back. They said they would "mail" it. Then I found Freedom a few weeks later. Because of their rip-off, I had to file a fraudulent activity claim on my checking account and close it. I got the money back from the bank on the Freedom, but am still waiting on the Uniguard. That was over a month ago.
I contacted Uniguard and they told me the would do an "expedited" refund. Apparently they do this by sending the check to my bank to "make sure my account wasn't closed in a negative". That is complete crap. Then they told me once the bank returns my check to them, they will then send it to me. I told them I wanted to speak to a supervisor and was told that they are just the Customer Service Company that handles them and 10 other companies. They have no contact number for Uniguard (go figure!).
I have no doubt that I will be calling them again to find out where my "check" is. I know I am screwed, but hopefully this will help someone else out. Do not do business with them!!!
