Scabies

I got a toy poodle from this website almost 3 years ago. She was extremely tiny (which is normal i know!) but im talking almost less than a pound tiny. We had the dog for a couple hours and noticed that she began to scratch and itch ALL THE TIME, im talking non-stop for hours on end. Within a couple of days the hair on her ears had completely fallen off, her ears were crusting over and bleeding and she would cry all through the night. We took her to the vet, who said she had a mild infection and prescribe some kind of ointment. We used it for a couple days and sure enough her ears started to get less crusty (and we had put a cone on her head so she couldnt itch) however the rest of her body started to lose hair and was became completely inflamed. And then WE GOT IT. My skin was itching nonstop i was in the shower for hours the water was so hot to stop the itching that my skin began to peel.
Finally i took the dog to another vet. ONE look and she knew she had scabies! Immediatly i contacted christian who actually ended up paying the first bill which totalled $120.00 (she had to have a series of three shots at $100 a pop not including the normal charges). However. I also contacted the other owners of the litter we had gotten and the other puppies had also had the scabies. I feel bad that my dog had such a rough beginning, she is happy and healthy now. I believe though that this man does run some kind of puppy mill, it doesn't seem ethical or right to offer so many varities of dogs at such a CHEAP price (go figure they are in texas) I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend this site to anyone, or any site for that matter. I've learned my lesson the hard way of knowing your breeder and trusting they treat their mothers right... Please do your research and find out about the people (unlike me) and make sure that all the dogs are treated the way you would treat your own. They deserve to live a good life... They arent just puppy machines. Thanks for reading and good luck.
