Watch your DAC Report

I worked with Hill Bros. For 8 months back in 2008. I had no problem with the company per say, other than the fact the lead recruiter attempted to call me a liar in regards to the equipment I was promised upon hiring me. They were in the "process" of changing all the equipment to the Volvo 770's when I was hired, (and this was a big reason for going to this company), and was promised to get one of the new trucks based on my experience. I did end up getting one but after a very hostile argument with the guy who assigns the equipment, and after the recruiter finally admitted he did promise me the new truck in order to get me to come to the company.
That was just the beginning of my experiences. My first dispatcher tried on two different occasions to get me to pick up loads that he knew could not be moved due to weight. After I finally told him that if he tries to assign me an over weight load again, then I would have no choice but to contact DOT and inform them of his dispatching habits, he quit (his job) within a week.

The final blow was what they put on my DAC report, (of which I am still fighting). I had a car try to cut past me on my right as I was making a right turn and he slammed into my front passenger tire hard enough to literally crush his front end. Somehow out of that situation, the company said it was my fault and I was terminated. But thats not the worst part, what they put on my DAC was that I was arrested for DUI, and that I refused to do a breathalyzer as the police requested. Neither one of those are remotely true. The driver of the car that hit me was ticketed and arrested for suspicion of under the influence, not me.
I'm still in the process of getting this removed from my report so I can get back on the road but am having very little luck. If anyone knows a faster or better way to get the DAC fixed, please let me know.

As far as the actual job with them, I found it to be a good company with good people. Got plenty of miles, (averaged about 3400 week), the pay wasn't the highest in the industry but very competitive, (I started at 34 and went to 36 within about 2 months). The equipment did have it's issues, but to be fair, was not the companies fault. Volvo admitted to having several design flaws and would be willing to fix whatever went wrong. I was never off the road for more than one day to get repairs, usually only had to wait a few hours.
Just watch what is put on your report if you ever decide to leave them.
