It starts with a free teeth whitening product combo "discovered" by a "mom". You can get it for $2.98 including shipping. What you see on your next credit card statement is a list of charges that you do not recognize in amounts from $8.95 to #87.62 from businesses with poor, disconnected, or no contact information. You are automatically enrolled in memberships, monthly product shipments, you pay for the free trial 40-50ty fold, and so on. It is a setup that on the first look appears legal and they certainly play that up in the first sentence that is spoken. They are also aware of the fact that you do not want the products since on two occasions I was simply asked at the start "What product am I calling about to cancel". Since I could not get to the bottom of what else might have been charged to my account based on the fact that I did not "opt out" or return within 14,30, or 60 days, depending on the agent I talked to and website I'd read, I resorted to cancelling my credit card altogether. I've done that even though my credit card co, city cards, objected to my closing the account as they consider the charges legitimate. They also seem to know of the scam. I've been their high balances customer for some 15 years and this has surprised me tremendously. I had told them that, as it appears, they knowingly condone questionable activities and because of that I do not wish to be associated with their business anymore.
