"With all the news and commercials about Obama's Healthcare Reform which might include excluding Medicare, people like myself with life term chronic illnesses are starting to fear for the worse. It is already difficult enough living with a chronic illness and having to worry about surviving on a fixed income and wondering how we as dependents of the government are going to survive. We are going to have no raise in social security next year, the cost of housing is increasing, health resources are either being trimmed or closed. What does the government think they are doing? We are being faced with a gloomy outlook that the government can stop allowing us to take life saving medications, see our own doctors, and what about medical procedures that can save lives?
I am only thirty nine years old and have had a chronic illness for ten years and I fear that pretty soon some government official is going to say "You lived a long healthy life on these medications but now it is time to give them to someone who is half your age so they can live until your age." I feel bad for the older people with more chronic disabilities who need live saving surgeries but will be denied because again, someone who is much younger needs the same surgery. I am sad and angry at this government that which I am glad I did not vote for. We are headed to socialism real soon and instead of having rights we will be answering to a group of people who do not know us like our doctors. We, just like our doctors know our bodies and health conditions not some pencil and paper pushers with no remorse. If this happens then I hope the government will pay for peoples funerals. This is serious and you can put this in a file called "Healthcare deformed".
