I had been talking to Steve 3 weeks about doing some work for me before this happened. I bought a building kit and all that was needed to put the building together and finish other building. Thats what i didn't like about him, I didn't want to pay him up front to do the work because i had trouble in the past with fraud online and I had guys to do work with shower in basement and one upstairs and i had to get 3 guys before the work was done. He had me sign a contract, and i was suppose to give him $200 a day for the work he did but no more than $1,000 total. He was suppose to put up new building which was a kit from lowes. Finish another building that was already here, fix a hole on carport and a live wire in my basement. I went and got the building kit and 10 days went by so i had to pick it up, i was just going to get lowes to do it they were charging $800 and i told Steve i was getting lowes to do the building for me. We had been talking in text and he just said what did he have to do to get my business. So i decided to give him a chance and he did goand pick up the building and deliver the building to my house. He would say he was comingto work on building, he did this several times and he never showed up or called to let me know he wasn't coming. So one day he finally came and him and his son raised the other building up put a couple of cinder block under it and this was tuesday. He told me he would come back early the next day and he didn't come or call or let me know anything. So finally i called him and he told me a friend was sick and thats why he didn't come that week. So the next week he didn't come because it rained. I did tell him i wasn't in a hurry to get the work done, but after i paided him, i did want him to do the work i paided him for. So this has been going on since 10/16/09 that is the day he picked up the building for me. So now this week November 2, he said for sure he was coming this week on Monday and he would work until the work is done. The only time he let me know that he wasn't coming he texted me on Monday and this is what he said. "When it rains it pours. I just can't make it again today the job we did last week had to be touched up this morning please forgive me." So on tuesday i tried to find out if he was coming. And he wrote, "I will finish the entire project this week." - meaning mine. I have tried several times to get the money back i gave him so i can get someone else and, he wrote "please stop changing the plans." And he is trying to blame me for him not doing the work. Again he wrote "we'll get it all done." And he also kept saying in the text saying i'm mad at him. He wrote me all this in text on Tuesday. I have not heard nothing more and this is thursday, today i reminded him that it was two more days this week and to let me know something today. I ask for my money back again and the instructions to my building. I'm upset and really stressed and the anglish of waiting for him everyday to come and he doesn't show up. And knowing i already gave him money for work he hasn't even done. I think any normal person would feel that way. I want the $400 dollars back, he should of had a good part of the building done for that. And for the anglish of waiting everyday and him not coming and keeping me upset.
