I am a 32 yo HIV Positive male, so obviously my credit is shot do to medical bills. One day I heard a commercial for CEC Solutions on the radio and how they will get you a computer AND fix your credit. I called the ad from a local radio station and next thing I knew I was all signed up for their "program".
I was told I would receive my new computer in approximately 3 weeks. I paid $99 down, and $29.95 a week for 2 months and still no computer. Each time I call and ask for my shipping date they would give me the run around about needing paperwork. Then it was a "3 week processing period" for the paperwork. Then it was I needed to fill out more paper work. Then it was "we sent it but let's send it again." Then another "3 week processing period." I still haven't received the paper work for the second time around, nor the computer. I called and asked to cancel out of "the program" and would like my money back since they technically breached our original verbal recorded contract. I was told "We have to verify that promise by listening to the recorded tapes and that takes six weeks and you still won't get you money back. We will keep it as and in-store credit." The kicker is you can't spend the "in-store credit" until you complete "the program".
My boyfriend got on-line and typed in the name "CEC SOLUTIONS" and pulled up quite literally hundreds of people who have been scammed by them. I immediately called my bank, closed my accounts and had to switch everything over so they couldn't get anymore of my hard earned money.
If you are involved with CEC Solutions, cancel your "membership". If you are contemplating doing business with them, DON'T!!! And if you have the ability to stop this kind of THEFT, DO!!!
