On july18. they call me in to have a meeting with the employees to tell us they are going to laid-off 5 people. I was one of the five they laid-off. I been on the job for 9 1/2 years. I have been hurt and mistreated all through years. All because i couldn't read or write. They took advantage of me. Right now, i have to get somebody to write my letter and read for me. They know i have reading and writing problem but they don't care. These people hurt alot of co-workers. I have lost everthing. I am still without a job no money coming in. I am a christian who love the lord. They gave me a separation paper and i couldn't comprehend or read it. All they told me that they will give me $916.00. I have 5 kids to support. I couldn't get no unemployment. It has been real hard for people to hire me because my reading and writing. Thye knew i have this situation because i didn't know what i was reading so, i sign the put because i needed the money to pay for rent and light bill. This is a big rip-off have they to advantage of a young person like me who have reading and writing problem. I am very hurt about this. I really feel like i have been rip-off. As soon as they let me go they hire more people. Something is wrong with this picture. Because the situation i was in they could have gave me a month to find job. Because i need somebody to help to read, write and spell. Somebody really need to check into this because i believe they have cover up alot of things. This shoild not be going on in no work place. I deal alot of good work for htem. I shampoo carpet, paint, empty trash and help other when need to set-up some things. I took care of the gym floor and cleaning up the caterer and alot of other work since i have been on the job. I did a good job to my ability. Please help! This is sept 8
