We hired Michelle Riesland of prime elegance to take pictures for our wedding May 1st 2009. We met, she showed me quality work at a good price and I was sold. I should have known she was trouble when she didn't show up for our engagement shots. After several calls, she calls back to saying her husband was in the hospital. He had a diabetic attack due to changes in his medications and was rushed to the hospital. We rescheduled and took the pictures. We met for me to receive that shots and I only go 5,3 of which were the same. After a well worded email, we did receive additonal copies via email of other shots. Cute but nothing the scream about. We decided to stay with her more so because we were so close to the wedding day.
Prior to the wedding there wasn't much contact which put me in panic mood. Michelle had not responded to any of my emails until 2-3 days prior to the wedding. I explained to her what I wanted and we were set. She showed and took pictures. She told me she took over 400, later to say 500 pictures. Our wedding was May 1st and we were to receive our pictures by June 1st. Needless to say after numerious emails, and phone calls which mostly went unanswered, we received our "album" which consisted of 35 pictures JULY 24th. Some blurry, others with heads cut off or pictures from the side. NOPE not one picture of me walking down the aisle. It was a side shot. Not one picture of me and my husband together. Only one individual shot of a bridsmaid. We were told we would get a cd with all the pictures she took which was over 500. Well... The cd consisted on only 125 pictures 35 of those were the ones she put in the so called "album". We are african american. We are red in most shots.
We sent her a email expressing our displeasure in the final product and she stated she would send us all of our pictures. As of today 8-31-09 we have not received anything nor had any additional contact from her. To make matters worse, she has us on her web page. We are the only black couple on there and NO we do not support her nor encourage anyone to use her! She has been unprofessional to say the least throughtout this entire ordeal. We simply want copies of all the pictures she stated she took (over 500) without the photo editing so we can create our own wedding album.
