This company Niche Age Media (this was the company I had a contract with), Phase One Events, aka Quinn Rhodes solicits work from writers, editors, graphic artists, and web developers by promising monthly payments for work, and even sends over contracts. However when work is produced, the invoice sent and approved by him, and the end of the month arrives, there is no payment, just the taunt of "go ahead pay money for a lawyer". This company / individual has done this to several people owing as much as $8,000 to another web developer not to mention countless others.
This company apparently claims to produce 50 magazines (due for printing July which never happened) in the North Texas area, and is set to hold culinary events in multiple cities in North Texas. To date not 1 magazine has been published nor as 1 event occurred.
In the case of web development you are promised content that never arrives, creative notes and ideas that he wants the site to look like, which also never arrives. You're simply told to "copy" ESPN.com and other sites, which by the way, he considers a mini-site that he wants copied and uploaded within 2 days with no content provided. He wants you to create an entire site of dummy content to sell advertisement space.in the end it seems as though without getting revenue from these sites, by way of investors, sponsors for events, or advertising sales, he does not have the capital to pay you.
On top of all that you are told to have "complete creative control" but then when you submit the work, he simply states he does not like it and that's that. No explanation, no criticism, no notes and / or wishes, nothing, and worse he tells to he already has another designer working on the project but he wants you to do different sites.

Quinn Rhodes is listed as the admin for some of these sites, and a Mike Epson is listed as the admin for others. I have never dealt with Mike Epson so I cannot speak to his level of involvement, just take note.
So beware of this company and the man named Quinn Rhodes, he/they have done this in the past and will likely do it again. Oh, and the corporate site they had, www.nicheage.com, is now empty.in this economy where every job, any job for the matter especially one that takes an entire month of time, greatly impacts people's lives, this company / man is ruining the financial well being of the people he scams, and he and the company must be made accountable for their actions.
