Repo Proved Dearborn And Omaha Don't Communicate At approximately 315 am my family was awakened by tremendously loud banging on our door. There were 2 men standing at our door an another downstairs connecting our 2006 Ford Fusion to a tow truck

The two men stated that I owed $968.05 and because I had not paid, they were there to take our car. My wife commuted from Laurel, MD to Fort Myer, VA every morning at 430 am. We had just received an apology letter in the mail from the Director of Customer Services. The letter stated that an error occurred on my account billing statement following the due date change on our statement.

The error was that $800.00 in payments had been placed on the Ford Freestyle account instead of the Ford Fusion account. My Freestyle was paid by an allotment. Hence, Ford Motor Credit did not realize I had two accounts until someone named "Jay" in Florida did.

He/She literally said, "Do you have two car loans with us?" After confirming that I did, Jay stated that payments had been placed on the wrong account. Then within days we recceived the apology letter.

The repo men would not look at the letter my wife had shown them and proceeded to demand the keys to the Ford Fusion.

My wife was concerned with 3 boxes of children books she had purchased (she was an Assistant Director for a Child Development Center), government decals (that the repo men did not allow us to remove), and other very personal items left in the trunk.

The repo men allowed us to remove the 3 boxes of books (only) while the Fusion was connected to the tow truck.

I began calling the Repo office in Florida, the CEO of Ford, the office in Florida and was told the car was taken because said we didn't answer our phone. I am a disbled Veteran (80%) and I served my Country 22.5 years. I was in the Gulf War! Yet I could not believe I was being treated this way. They sold the Fusion at an auction within days and we still owe over $18,000!

I paid insurance on the Fusion, and I never knew where they had taken it.

I need help please!
