This organization listed multiple positions in various job websites, specifically "Sports-Oriented Marketing", "Entry Level Marketing/Promotions".
They have folks on the job demonstrating a special car wax/waterless car cleaner for 12 hrs a workday, 8 of which is on the field at whichever gas station somewhere in Northern California (Dixon, Stockton, and other various cities throughout the region) the individual team is assigned to, in which you work like a right dog and the minimum they will pay you is actually less than California minimum and dramatically less than promised.
So, technically 12 hours' work a day and the very least you can get is just about $5/hour for 5 day work week, or just more than $4/hour for a 6 day work week. Granted, they say the more FW1 products you manage to sell, the higher pay you get.
They say if you suck at the selling, you can still make $300-$400 a week. $300 divided by 60 hours on the job a week for new people, that's $5/hr. Remember, California minimum wage is now $8 as January 1.
Once you get promoted to the next level, you can start working Saturdays as well, so that adds 12 more hours. $300 divided by 72 hours, you're now looking at $4.17/hr. That may be even below Federal Minimum wage..!
What they don't tell you before the callback interview is that sunblock would be a great idea since they have you outdoors for the 8 hrs, and with all the walking around, running between gas pumps (working at gas stations) and constant action and such you'll be doing is sure to leave you sore all over every night. If you don't have a car, then you won't make it to management, as it requires a car. Bet they don't even compensate for fuel!
The managers use their own cars, and may not even have any kind of occupational auto insurance; my last manager spent the drive from Dixon back to the office texting behind the wheel almost the entire time! What if we had gotten into an accident at such break-neck speeds?
On my first day, a potential prospect shadowed us and after half a day so far, the prospect got the right idea and left the assignment. I was uncertain if he got a ride back to Sacramento or not then, but once it was time to go, the manager had left, leaving me to wonder if the uncaring manager had actually left the guy stranded all that distance from the office or not.
In early I got my W2 from them, apparently still at the location where I picked up my only check. They stated the total wages they paid me was over $30, but the only check I ever got from them was for $13.46.
You read that right. $13.46 for 12 hours work. Before taxes.
The guy who I spoke with (new since I left them) gave me more claims, saying that they were a legitimate company, that they work with a National Non-Profit Organisation, etc.
I asked them why they would mail the W2 but not the checks, and his excuse was they only mail the checks when employees ask them to. They also claim that they mail their W2's from Canada, as that's where their parent company Innovage is based.

It was also brought to my attention during that visit that the job was commission-only pay, which was complete bull as I had trainers left & right make grandiose promises of being paid at least $300-400 a week, management within months, etc and not a single person said we would only be paid commission. No such word from my trainers, from co-workers, not even the head manager of the Office herself. They also said at the time of employment that this job was more of a demonstrator job, with minor sales.
All this double-talk from Logistics Advertising, did somebody say High Turnover Rate? This would explain why their Career Builder job listings are constantly saying "15 New Positions!", etc. They get these poor college kids & people desperate for work, who know hardly anything about labour rights, and work them like practically indentured servants.
The sad part of the woeful tale is this: The California Industrial Relations Board states that since it is an outdoor sales job and over 50% of the workday is spent outdoors, the Company is actually exempt from having to pay minimum wages..!! The guy I spoke with claimed that if they had to pay minimum wages, they'd be out of business..
