We purchased all of our appliances at Sears on 09/28/07 for our new home that we were building. They were delivered the end of January. We moved in to the house March 7. Around April 18 my Frigidaire Professional series Aqua Surge dishwasher (model # PLD4375RFC) shut off and showed an error code. We called customer service and they sent someone out to repair it on April 23. The vent located on the top of the machine was the problem. After waiting for parts we were back in business two weeks later. The other issue is because the vent is on the top of the machine it is leaving a big stain in our very expensive granite countertops, heating the counter up so much that you can not touch it and I am quite sure the moisture is not very good for the maple cabinet it is installed in.

Well another six weeks goes by and the same error code. This time though when the vent failed to open the heater kept running melting the sprayer arm and all of our plastic cups and Tupperware that was in the washer at the time. Thankfully I was home and noticed a burning smell and shut it off before it caught on fire. This is a serious safety issue. It took over three weeks this time to be repaired. Again the vent was the main cause. The moisture causes the circuit board in the vent to corrode and short out. The appliance repair company informed me that this will continue to fail until Frigidaire addresses the issue. Now four days after the repair all the dishes on the top rack will not come clean. After reading dozens of complaints online about other people having the same issue its obvious this machine has serious design issues.

I have called Frigidaire; they told me it has to happen three times before they will replace it. And then it will be the same model that I have. The one that is destroying my granite and has spent more time broken than not. When I called Sears they told me I had 90 days to exchange it. But it was 90 days from when I purchased it, not 90 days from delivery. So, I would have had to decide to exchange it while it was still in the warehouse. So after spending $6999.93 with Sears they tell me sorry the product we sold you was junk, thank you for all your money. $2899.98 of that was on Frigidaire products (double wall ovens & dishwasher) and none of them will do anything to solve the problem.
